Inland Christian Academy of Nursing (ICAN) is a Christ-Centered educational institution, established and approved by California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the school of Nurse Assistant Certification Training Program (NATP), in July 2024. The Nursing Assistant Training Program is a 6-week full-time course offered in the Winter, spring, fall and summer. This course meets Title 22 regulations in providing care of the geriatric population in the long-term care setting utilizing skills in basic care, emergency care, and communication. Students who have successfully completed the 6-week program, and have achieved a certificate of completion, will be qualified to apply for and write the California Competency Exam, administered by the American Red Cross or the National Nurse’s Aide Assessment Program. Once the student passes the state competency exam, the CDPH will issue a certificate demonstrating that the graduate is a new Certified Nurses’ Assistant (C.N.A.).
